I met Melva at the Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards, where she sang in their showcase.  She brought such peace and serenity to the platform and it filled the atmosphere.  I really enjoyed the peace she brought to us through her songs.  I wanted to know more about Melva, so I could share this beautiful woman of God with the world.

 

Interview with Melva Williams

 

Pam Jones: What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

 

 Melva:  Early in the morning driving to work, I got stopped by two policemen.  They                    gave me no ticket just routine Driver’s License/Car Insurance check.  So yes                      they actually racially profiling me.         

 

Pam:     What are the five things you can’t live without?

       

Melva:  Five things I can’t live without is:  The Bible, Music, Something to look

             forward to, family, food/water.

 

Pam:     What’s your motto or the advice you live by?

           

Melva:  One of my mottos or advice I live by is something my mother taught me:

              You know where you’ve been, but you don’t know where you are going.”

 

Pam:     What is your favorite song to belt out at the bar/in the car/for karaoke?

             

Melva:   It Is Well with My Soul

 

Pam:     Ten years from now you will be...?   

       

Melva:   Writing music, singing praises to God, teaching private music students,

              traveling and ministering to lost souls to bring them to Christ.

 

Melva, I pray God's blessing over you and your music as it brings the love and peace that this world needs.
