Pam Mayes-Jones, mother, teacher, business woman, dancer and writer...blessed by the hand of God and invited to his table, in his cloud of glory, to write unto you his people. Jordan Mayes, sports buff, awesome artist, web and logo designer and graphical engineer in the making. Camilyah Jones, brillant writer, editor, animal lover and studying to become a biochemist at Baylor University!
We present to you The River & Word Magazine (KJV version) to bring back integrity to the viewing eyes of God's people. When you pick up a magazine, our family want you to feel peace in knowing if you sit it down, your child will not see things that are contrary to God's word.
How the Magazine Began
Riding in a my car one day, I asked the Lord for an idea that would help perpel my daughters and I forward and minister his word at the same time. The Lord whispered, an on line magazine. I thought what a great idea, what should we call it Lord? He replied, The River. I was so amazed and shared what God was saying to my daughters, Jordan and Camilyah, and they liked the idea. The idea of creating a magazine sat for about a month and all of a sudden, the Lord began to move on the girls as they were sitting in my car. My daughters were brain storming like cray; therefore, I knew it was time to begin
the magazine.
We went to the local library where the River & Word Magazine was birth.
