Managing Your Emotions During the Up Coming Seasons

I am Loving this fall weather! The cool mornings, the change of colors in nature and the friendlier smiles from people. What is it about the weather changes that controls a persons emotions? According to Dr. Tina Tessina, PhD, a smile lights up your face to the sun lights up the day, and the weather pressure follows with rain just as our tears are a sign of tension from pressure. A rainbow is a sign of hope from God's promise not to flood the earth, and Dr. Tessina says, hope is the rainbow of our internal climate.

The weather can affect your health and well being, according to Carolyn Gregoire with the Huffington Post. Carolyn suggest that SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is an affliction that people suffer from during the winter season. The apparent cure for it is sunshine, so it seems that a person with SAD, should not live in winter climate states. While SAD is an issues for those living in winter climates, mental and physical stress from serve weather such as hurricanes or tornado's will affect the health for others.

There is a solution to all weather and emotional issues...his name is Jesus, the healer and chief physician. Emotional issues is an area of being sick, but there is hope...Matthew 9:12, But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Jesus is a healer of all sickness and diseases. Matthew 14:14, And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Isaiah 53:5,

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24,

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Not only can weather affect your emotions but food and diet can change the chemical balance, cause emotional stress, highs and lows or stressful feelings. Why will food combination cause you to get emotionally low or high strung?

Scientists are beginning to understand how this stress-related junk-food craving works. Stress increases the release of "endogenous opioids" in some brain regions. These neurotransmitters resemble opiates in their structure and addictive properties (and opiates work by stimulating the receptors that evolved for responding to the brain's opioids). This helps to account for the hugely reinforcing properties of junk food at such times.

Stress also activates the "endocannabinoid" system in the brain. Yes, there's a class of chemicals in the brain that resemble the ingredient in cannabis that famously links pot to getting the munchies. And stress activates another brain chemical called neuropeptide Y that can stimulate the craving for fat and sugar. ROBERT M. SAPOLSKY, 2013.

What ever a persons reason is for being SAD or stressful during the weather or seasons changing, there is one thing that may help you and that is the following:

John 3:16,

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Know that you are loved! Try and keep company with positive people and eat foods that are healthy for you...one place to start is read your Bible and the Food Bible (http://www.thefoodbible.com/)

Proverbs 15:13,

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

John 4:24,

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Worship brings healing...try Julie Treu's Healing Love, it really helped me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-7KiDLMQNA

God bless you and help you enjoy this life in every season.
