A Man That Fineth A Wife Finds A Good Thing!

Proverbs 18:22,

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth

favour of the LORD.

Question what is a wife and are you a good thing?

The wife, who is she or what role should she play. I have heard a many of men say, I got to have her she is fine! OK, but what happens when fine is going south?

On the other hand I have heard few men say, you are going to be my wife (in general), but did they really know what a wife is or what her role is? Probably not.

June was the big marrying month, but I wonder if they stop to ask God if she was the one He ordained to marry? Wife is is אִשָּׁה listen and repeat and it is also רֵעַ for friend. Who would have thought the word wife meant listen and repeat as a friend???

Next we will look at the beginning of the wife God created. In Genesis 2 we will find where God made woman and her role, Genesis 2:18 - 24, and the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

A wife is to listen and repeat as a friend and a woman is to be a help meet, wow I didn't see that one coming,because we have been taught in church that the wife was the help meet. The truth will set us free! As a wife, we are to listen to the husband and repeat what he instructs us to do, as it is in the Lord, but as a woman we are too be his help meet. OK, what is a help meet according to the word of God? Help meet in Hebrew are "ezer" and the word 'k’enegdo", and ezer means to rescue, to save and be strong. Ezer is found 21 times in the bible in the expression of help or salvation. Woman was created by God to save and help her husband.

k’enegdo is the meaning meet for or fit for.

When look at help meet, woman and wife as a whole we can she how God created the bride to be a rescue to save and be strong for her husband and to be meet and fit for him. Wow!

As we continue to look at the word of God the woman did not become a mans wife until she was created to be able to rescue him! Glory to God!! What many of us have done is marry backwards. Most have married before we were ready to be a help meet, let along a woman!

In Genesis 2:23, Adam calls her woman and this was after God had created her as a help meet, and if you have noticed , she wasn't wife yet...oh wow! And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

There is a process to becoming a wife and the first thing is God has to create you to be a help meet to rescue, save and be strong for His man. Second, you have to be meet fit for him. Third, you must be from his side and called his woman. A woman is bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh, in other words before we even got to this earth, we were in the breath of God. God gives us the birth of life when we are born. In heaven there is nothing but unity and there is always a male and female in one unity.

Psalms 133:1, (A Song of degrees of David.) Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Woman is the word אִשָּׁ֔ה, which means wife...oh my didn't see that coming either...only a God could have brought it around 360! God knows the end from the beginning wow!

Well there you have it, whosoever fineth a wife that is a woman, in which is a help meet to rescue, save and be strong for the husband and be meet and fit for him, fineth a good thing. Amen
