Find Your Tribe and Break Bread, LaTasha Weatherspoon,

Houston, Texas: Dream Ink Press, 2017, 128 pgs.

Ever since mankind began, critics have expressed their opinions on how society should behave, speak, dress, work, marry or how they should be cast out, if they didn’t fit.

Today, media critics voice their opinions on society by the display of those they deem correct or incorrect; important or unimportant…from the wealthy – high minded to the poor and lowly. People in society agree with the media by posting and twitting such displays or if they disagree, they will take a stand against them on social media in hopes to discredit the notions. Yet, most people are still left standing in their esteem of how others view them, and they will shelter inwardly, while outwardly expressing, “I have it together,” most people die inside from a loss of identity and self-proclamation from others.

LaTasha Weatherspoon’s book encompasses all areas of living in the shadow of other’s opinions, while she is dispelling them once and for all! Her book is an easy exercise, that may bring changes to one’s life, and produce an immediate turn around, if you are willing to be honest, transparent and do the work, as she suggest. Her methodology, that leads you through illuminating

To bring comprehension of, “Find Your Tribe and Break Bread”, Weatherspoon starts off with a powerful encouragement that tells you, “Keep Going!” (2017). Keep Going itself, put the race on to reach the finish line! Her methodology, that leads you through, what Weatherspoon calls illuminating activities, requires a participation that is to be performed right in her book. I personally enjoyed the activities. Weatherspoon’s activities follow each area of diffusing the negative opinion of others, that have been unjustly placed on you, then she leads you to forgiveness and recognizing the issues.

Choosing to forgive does not mean that you have to choose to restore the assailant to their previous position. (Weatherspoon, 2017)

LaTasha takes her readers on a journey to go deep within and unleashes long buried wounds that lie under unwanted scars. As a good motivator, she acknowledges a great deal about what causes you to get loss and to work through it. The loss may cause you to withdraw from who you really are as a person.

People end up feeling lost when they lose their jobs or weather a career shift. Some people define themselves by their memberships, but your affiliation is not your definition. (Weatherspoon, 2017)

For the person who is hurting wounded from loss, there is a vase amount to be learned in this book, yet it has simplicity and the book is an easy read, which may help you complete the activities and finish the book.

Weatherspoon’s book leaves nothing unturned, and it is a guide to finally help you break free of opinions of others. You should stand affirmed in your self-worth and live with a positive identity after you complete the exercises and follow her instructions. The book is a perfect guide to read, study and help to change your history and future.

Find Your Tribe and Break bread is a good tool, to help you gain a positive image of the God in you. The book walks you through the pages of your life, reveals the root of the issues, and slices off the mask of the past!

Positively, this book is one of the best reads, I have encountered, and it had me ready to step it up and reach for more of my goals.

As I finished Weatherspoon’s book, I was astonished at how excellent the book is written. I was equally grateful for her transparency and testimony. Sharing her scars made me feel safe to be real and honest with myself, and you will too.

I highly recommend buying, Find Your Tribe and Break Bread, by LaTasha Weatherspoon.

I give it a 5-star rating and a thumbs up!!
