JOY!

Joy! Joy! Unspeakable Joy!

1 Chronicles 29:9

Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

When we seek God with our whole heart, undivided by things of the world, we are then able to experience his joy in the fullness thereof. How do you know you are walking willingly? When nothing else matters but God...when you are willing to give up everything for God...when even your spouse and children come second to God!

Giving up everything does not mean God will leave you without or that he is trying to take things from you, it means he wants to raise you up higher in him to give more things to you.

Luke 12:31 |

But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Do you want to live in peace and unspeakable joy, the kind that can't be explained in words, because it is so good? Seek the kingdom of God first!

We have often heard that we should seek the kingdom first, and all these things shall be given unto you, but have you ever been taught how to seek the kingdom first or what it actually means?

People suffer such things because they lack the knowledge and understanding of what has been asked of them.

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

What knowledge are people lacking that causes them to suffer? The knowledge of the word of God.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Word of God is powerful than any two-edged sword. The word of God is referred to as a sword that cuts to the marrow of the bones...now that is deep!

But how can the word cut to the marrow of the bone, when it is word and not a physical thing? The word of God is alive, and what ever God sent it to do, it will be accomplished.

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Isaiah 55:11

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

No matter what is going on in your body, that is contrary to the word of God, his word speaks against it. God's word is a healer...he sent his word, through Jesus to heal us, and that is how his word cuts to the marrow of the bone.

Psalms 107:20

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Back to seek the kingdom of God and all things shall be added unto you...Let us break bread and reason together. First we will examine the work seek. Seek in Greek means to search for and desire. In Hebrew, the word seek means to worship God. When we seek the kingdom of God, we search and desire to worship him. Also, when we seek the kingdom, we except, desire his entry to his throne.

In Hebrew, but rather is plen = except, and seek ye is the word zeteo =desire...these things is tauta or tow tah = afterward- hereafter. The kingdom is basileia = thy throne or entry, and shall be added is prostithemi = give more increase to proceed further and unto you is hymin = you. Wow!

Next, let's look at the kingdom that we are to seek or rather search and desire to worship. Kingdom means kingship, sovereignty (supreme power or authority), authority and rule. When we seek the kingdom, we are searching and desiring to worship God and his kingship, supreme power, authority to rule, except and desire the hereafter entry into his throne!! Yes, Lord!

Once we have sought the kingdom first, all these things shall be added unto you. What things?

These things is tauta = hereafter or afterwards. In other words, we get to go into heavenly places with the Lord! Now that is JOY!!

Peace, with all the chaos in this world, we all need peace. How then do we need or get peace?

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Peace is given to us! How? Galatians 5:22, but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.

I pray you actually seek God and get in unity with him that all things can be added to you, in Christ Jesus! Amen.
