In the beginning of every year, many people set goals and task, and rarely meeting them, STOP!

We don't need to keep doing the same thing every year, to only get the same results.

The new year has dawned, and that means you will need to start all things new.

Isaiah 42:9

Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth

I tell you of them.

God's word is the only truth that is a safe ground to stand on. Amen

Here are some daily steps to take, that may assure a more successful future, but note that our time isn't God's time; therefore, I can't guarantee you instant success, that is between you and God.

Psalms 37:23

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Steps to Success

1. Put God first!

Luke 12:31

But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

If you want to be successful, you must put God first. When you wake up in the morining, repent, pray, worship and read the Bible.

2. Stand on the word of God

Hebrews 4:12,

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help and show you what God wants you to do for the day. Make sure you have a pen and paper.

4. Trust God for your life, ministry and business.

Isaiah 55:9

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

God wants us to prosper, but how does your soul prospereth?

Our soul prospereth, in 3John1:2, is the old language word that literally means, Make a Good Way. As you read the above scripture, Psalms 37:23,

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way;

we can clearly see God wants us to be good and do good. He even wants us to be healthy in our body, to support the soul doing good.

God knows when our soul is cast down low, and when it is low, our bodies health is affected.

Psalms 42:5,

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

When our bodies health is low, we can't function in full capacity to be successful, which brings me to step 5.

5. Take care of your temple

1 Corinthians 6:19

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

I hesitated to write this next sentence, because it is very senitive, and if a person isn't grounded in God and understand the truth of His word, they will get offended. Many times offense comes in because people lack the knowledge of truth in the word of God. Nevertheless, I am commanded of the Lord to tell the truth, because too many of God's people have suffered, and they have died too soon for the lack of knowledge. The truth will set you free!

When we do not eat right, rest, exercise, feed our spirit with the word of God daily, our temple suffers and eventually, many die or suffer for the lack of knowledge. Here is truth from the word of God:

1 Corinthians 3:17

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

I know this is hard to swallow, but the scripture just said, God will destroy the man that defiles the temple. He is not talking about the church building, He is talking about your body as His temple, that His spirit lives in. Here is the truth to confirm what I just said In the above scripture:

1 Corinthians 6:19

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

John 2:21, But he spake of the temple of his body.

Our body is not ours, we are temporarily living in it, and God's spirit, through the Holy Ghost is in us, by way of the blood of the Lamb! Amen

I know this isn't what you thought being successful in business was going to be about, but without God nothing will last!

We must trust that God can do all things for us.

Jeremiah 32:27,

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Mark 9:23,

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Now that you have read the truth of the word of God, let us write it down, yes write it down!

I asked you to have a pen and paper ready, so I hope you have been taking notes. (smiles)

6. Write the vision down

After we have repented, prayed, worshipped and read the Bible, we must sit still and ask the Holy Ghost to speak to us. We must command our mind to be creative before we go to bed, so when we wake up it is ready.

Habakkuk 2:2-3,

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

After the Holy Spirit has given you the vision, and you have wrote it down, the next step is to obey him, and do what he has given you to do. Many times, people are pushed to do things our parents want, our friends or church. A lot of people are not prospering, because they are not in the prefect will of God. He will allow you to do what you want, but God is not obligated to bless it, if you are not operating in His will. In life, there are a lot of good things we can do and obtain wealth, but the key here is, is it what God called you to do?

Remember earlier in this reading, God's word said, I know the plans I have for you. Not only does God know the plans, but His plans are to prosper us. Amen

When we do the will of God, He will bless it.

Deuteronomy 28:3,

Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

What has God called us to do?

Ephesians 4:11,

And he (God) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.

Here are the issues of life with these called, PEOPLE playing God! The word of truth said, He gave some...not man, church, family or friends. God will speak to the spirit of a man to tell you what God said, and God will tell you who to anoint for the position. But, never did a man of God, in the Bible, appoint who he wanted before he asked the Lord. After asking the Lord who to appoint, they went to the person and anointed them for the position.

Again, we must ask the Holy Spirit what God wants us to do. To clear up Ephesians 4:11 and the called positions, not every position means you are suppose to be in the pulpit. Unfortuantely, in a lot of churches, ran by man instead of God, are appointing people who they think will be best or who they like best or even who gives the most money...and they wonder why things don't go right in the church. In many cases, the people are blamed for the fall or disruptions and lack. Even worse, the person that the leaders appointed are blamed.

Because the Chapter of Samuel is very long, I am going to ask you to go to 1 Samuel 16 and read it, and for now, I will give you the highlight version. God told Samuel to anoint the next king. He was sent to Jesse the Bethlehemite: "for I have provided me a king among his sons".

Now Samuel had to go in faith, because God did not tell him who he would anoint. Samuel arrives at Jesse's tent and ask for his sons to come, but none of the sons were the one God had called to be king. Why? The oil in the horn would not pour out! Samuel asked Jesse, do you have any more sons?

There was one important key to Samuel appointing the next king, God said, "But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart". Why? God already knows what we are made of, and He will know the end from the begining.

What does all this have to do with business? EVERYTHING!! When you put the wrong people in a position or if you create the wrong business, there will be no anointing and it will not last. The wrong person will tare down what you have built up in any area of life; whether it is a business, home, ministry or relationship.

Now is all of it starting to make sense? Yes, of course it is, when you think back over your life and see where things started going wrong for you, it was after you let the wrong person in or you created what you thought was what YOU should do. No judgement here, I am preaching to the choir, been there and done all that! (smiles).

Back to Samuel anointing David to be king. Jesse sends for David, and he comes in from the field, dirty, smelly and not that great of a stature. He was just a boy, with no king qualities or was he? See, when God's hand is on your life, you will be able to do the impossible, because ALL things are possible to them that believe. Amen

David did not look qaulified in man's eyes, but in God's eyes he was anointed and appointed for the job of being a king. Yes, being a king is a job, but guess what else it is...a preist over a nation, awe uh! Oh yes, the Ephesian calls are not just a church alter, but they exist in every area of life. For an example: A teacher is generally in a classroom or college etc, but many church leaders will teach that you are a minister, and you should teach only in the church. No! Our gifts make room for us and set us before kings etc. An Apostle is another position mis-understood, that if a man is an apostle, he should be behind the pulpit. OK, then how do you explain the 12 apostles that went from city to city establishing churches? They were not stuck in one place ruling over one church.

My people suffer for the lack of knowledge, because of wrong positioning and anointing the wrong people.

Once you have re-read "Your Steps for Success", apply them to everything in your life: parenting, wife or husband, ministry, business or entrepreneurship.

Did you not know that a wife is a minister over her family? She became a partner with God when she lend her womb to him, so He could bring forth His business plain of salvation, repopulation and kingdom ruling?

Did you not know that a business man is a minister, as he gains wealth with his witty inventions, to promote the kingdom?

Did you not know a child is an evangelist, because he is in the purest state, God can use him to lead the way?

Make sense? Sure it does and let me give you truth to stand on, so wicked people don't make you think you are not in the will of God, just because you are not in the pulpit.

A women's ministry with God:

Luke 1:26-30

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, a child

Now do you see how the Bible truth is our bases for ALL things, even business?

OK let us look at a couple of more scriptures to see how God's appointed and anointed call is better than a mans call.

A business man:

Proverbs 8:12,

I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

Why?

Deuteronomy 8:18,

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

OK , one more, the child:

Isaiah 11:6

The wolf (devil) also shall dwell with the lamb (Jesus), and the leopard (mockers laughing at us) shall lie down with the kid (goats eating the green field); and the calf (us) and the young lion (king) and the fatling ( young animal fatten and ready for the slaughter, Jesus the lamb and us) together; and a little child (Jesus) shall lead them. Wow!

Also, a good example of a child leading is when Mary showed up to Elizabeth's house, her cousin, and the babe in Elizabeth's womb had not moved, but when she opened the door, and Mary was standing there, with Jesus in her womb, the babe leaped!

Come on somebody, Jesus was already bringing forth life, and he was leading the way, for John to be able to carry out the assignment of God! Wow!

Next, John had grown up and became the evangelist, bringing revelation to the nation! He prepared the way of the Lord, and yet the Lord, while in Mary's womb, lead John!! Glory to God for positioning us!! Amen

I pray Your Steps for Success 2018, blesses you, finds you strenghtened and ready to walk into your destiney this year.
