Interview: Kimberle' Braggs

I have interviewed many artists, and the one thing most have in common is having gotten into a little trouble, but I would say that is human. He without sin cast the first stone. For Kimberle' Braggs, the trouble happened during high school: She went to a party without asking her mom, so her mother came to the party then sent Kimberle's cousin in to get her. Kimberle's mom, put her on shut down, no going outside!

In life, there are things that we treasure or they may be sentimental, and for Kimberle', she has a few things she won't give up, such as God, her Faith in him, her smile, love and family.

"I’m a bit sentimental, and I love hard", said Kimberle'".

We should all have something we live by to help keep us grounded. Most people will have a saying or quote they live by, for me it is "Trouble Won't Last Always and Joy Cometh In the Morning". Kimberle's saying is "never let anything hold you hostage, pray, keep pressing and always find a way to make things happen!"

Some people sing in the shower, others sing throughout the day, but Kimberle' sings out loud in her car ha ha! "I love to sing out loud in my car, because no one can hear me", said Kimberle' and she belts out 'Alright OK' and 'Imma Do It' by J. Moss.

Success comes with planning, setting goals and creating tasks that will drive you there, and for Ms. Braggs, she wants to be married in the next 10 years. She also wants to be living her dream of being a full-time artist traveling around the world.

Ms. Braggs' music is very powerful, and she views it as fiery! Kimberle's description of her music is churchy, anointed, fire, creative and a touch of Rassy (cross between rash and sassy). Her favorite singers are Jonathan Nelson, Tasha Cobbs, LeAndrea Johnson, Fantasia, and Joe.

If Kimberle' could open a concert for any artist, she would love to open up for Tim Rodgers. Even though Kimberle' is an experienced singer, she, like most singers, will get very nervous. However, once she is on stage, the nervousness leaves.

Kimberle' Baggs wanted to give this advice to new artists, "take every performance as a last one, meaning do your very best! You never know who’s in the audience, but mostly focus and keep God First and every thing will fall in line!"

Kimberle', keep up the good work and I will be in touch with Kevin Freeman, he and I will work together to see how we can further help you in your career.
